CUET UG 2023: Results likely to be declared in first week of July

The results of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG 2023 is likely to be declared in the first week of July.

“According to the original schedule, the results were expected around June 20, which will now probably be announced around the first week of July,” a senior official told news agency, PTI.

With over 65,000 students yet to give the CUET UG 2023, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has decided to continue the exams till June 17. The exams were initially supposed to end on May 31 but kept getting extended due to large number of students appearing for the exam.

The NTA has released admit cards for exams till June 11, the city intimation slip and admit cards for exams on the remaining dates will be released subsequently. The exams will be scheduled on June 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16 and 17. This would be the final phase of exam and the buffer dates are June 21, 22 and 23.

Most of these tests will be conducted in Jammu and Kashmir and Jharkhand. The results are expected within 15 days from the date of completion of the exams.

Around 14.99 lakh applications were received for CUET-UG 2023, registering a 41-per cent increase from its debut edition last year. CUET UG 2022 is the second-largest entrance exam in the country in terms of the number of applicants. In its first edition, 12.5 lakh students had registered for the exam and 9.9 lakh had submitted their applications.

Unlike last year, this year, the exam is being conducted in three shifts.

Most of the pending candidates are from Jammu and Kashmir and Jharkhand, while there are some from other states and Union territories too who are waiting for the dates. So far, the CUET UG has registered an attendance of around 75 per cent.

In phase 1, nearly 8.05 lakh candidates were suppose to appear for the exam, the number of candidates to appear for phase 2 was 6.73 lakh. The third phase had the highest number of candidates at 8.60 lakh. Phase 4 and 5 had 1.73 lakh and 1.27 lakh candidates respectively.
