Atomic Energy Central School - 5, New Mandala, Anushaktinagar, Mumbai-94 was inaugurated by Dr. R. Chidambaram, Chairman, Atomic Energy Commission and Secretary, Department of Atomic Energy on 31-10-1996 and marked its debut with Primary Section (Classes I to III) with a strength of 295 students and 12 teachers. Located in the eastern most side of Anushaktinagar Colony, AECS - 5 has become synonymous with ‘Oasis of enlightenment’. A journey for achievements trundled so fast that the school started projecting the wisdom of personal transformation of the students and was in the shortlist of the achievers. A very beautiful, huge campus, where the students spend every waking moment under the tutelage of the creative faculty of teachers to get true bliss and joy of living, is structured with all the modern facilities, grounds, halls

AECS-5 focuses on discovering, developing and drawing out the hidden talents lying dormant inside each student. From academics to co-curricular activities, extra-curricular activities, perseverance and positive spirit are entrenched in the heart of every student which not only makes them good students but also brilliant human beings.
