HBT Medical College And Dr. R N Cooper Municipal General Hospital

Hospital started as a Maternity Home in 1969 which was upgraded to General Hospital in 1970. Since 1977, it was recognized as Teaching Hospital, affiliated to KEM Hospital.
In 2006, MCGM decided to redevelop it and accordingly redevelopment work has started in 2009. The new redeveloped Cooper hospital was inaugurated on 30/11/2013. It is 636 bedded secondary care hospital with all general specialities. Hospital accredited by national board of examinations for training residents for DNB in nine general specialities since 2007.
In 2015 our institute received letter of permission (LOP) from Medical council of India and first batch of M.B.B.S. is admitted.
HinduHrudaySamrat Balasaheb Thackarey Medical College (HBTMC) and Dr.Rustom Narsi Cooper Municipal General Hospital is a major hospital in western suburbs. It is fourth medical college of Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai apart from other three MCGM Medical Colleges established in Mumbai. This hospital is established in 1969 and upgraded into Medical college in August 2015. The college is raised with the auspicious guidance and successful leadership of respected Dr. Ramesh M. Chaturvedi the founder and first Dean of this Medical college.
