The dream of our Founder President Late Shri. Madhukarrao D. Chaudhari, Chetana’s Institute of Management and Research became a reality in 1996. The year 2021, embarked the successful completion of 25 years of this dream. In these years, the institute has achieved many milestones and won several accolades

Late Shri. Madhukarrao Chaudhari served India’s political system for a long time. During his tenure, he was in charge of thirteen important departments as a Minister. Being in politics for five decades, he served the people and the nation in a way that was quite progressive for his time.

His politics was consciously and constantly driven by social causes, where he invariably used political strength as a tool to serve the people of India. These accomplished traits were primarily formed through the observance of great people like - Dhanaji Nana Chaudhari (his father), Mahatma Gandhi, Sane Guruji, Professor Bang Saheb. Many leaders, activists, teachers, artists from various fields in Maharashtra perceived him as a hardworking and committed minister and were inspired by him. With this combination, unique work was created in the state and the country. Many educational institutions, social movements, cultural events took shape from it. His presidency of the Legislative Assembly was indeed a gift to Maharashtra. He not only preserved the traditions created by his predecessors but also enriched them. In order to maintain the dignity of the parliamentary tradition, he took a very strong stand on many occasions regardless of his life. He was also known for taking care of the young members who had just started their career at the assembly. The legacy of a visionary leader like him is carried forward by the educational institutes founded by him.

Inspired by the heritage of Late Shri Madhukarrao Chaudhari, Shri Shirish M. Chaudhari’s initiatives in social development are a true example of Sustainable Development Goals. Shri Shirish Madhukarrao Chaudhari, Secretary of Chetana Trust, has not only lived the dream of our Founder President but also imparted immense justice to it. Twenty-five years ago, the road ahead was challenging. However, he decided to tread the path with the right leadership skills and virtues. And today, under his management, the institute has reached great heights and provides a conducive environment for learning.

Chetana’s Centre of Excellence (CoE), with the able leadership of the CEO, Dr Madhumita Patil, is established under the aegis of Chetana Trust with a strong commitment towards co-creating, nurturing, and curating ideas for developing an ecosystem to achieve excellence. It is a platform that augments and provides a perfect opportunity for academia, the industry, and society as a whole to converge on issues pertaining to business and the community at large through applied research. The CoE aims to be a premier knowledge partner by providing strategic inputs for businesses, collaborating with industry for knowledge creation and contributing to the social development initiatives. The centre operates through various thematic verticals designed to deliver quality processes and outputs. The centre is aligned and committed to promote and advocate the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) through all its activities and initiatives. The long-term goal of the CoE is to evolve as a model of best practices in private B-Schools.

Chetana’s emphasizes on providing a learning ambience conducive to students. Several events are organized by student driven forums, committees and clubs. Notable corporate events like Elixir, Vipanan, Arthanaad, HROPSYS, Good to Great Management Fest, Challenger, Debates and Elocutions, Rural Immersion, HR Conclave, Case Study Competitions, Reminiscence, CSR Programs and Crisil CKBC (Crisil Chetana’s Knowledge Board Competition) are among the variety of regular events held in the campus. The students participate and win accolades in B- School Competitions, Sports Events, Research Paper Competitions and Management Games held at other renowned B- schools in the country

1) PGDM - NBA Accrediated

The Post-Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) program is AICTE approved and structured to provide a perfect combination of in-depth conceptual understanding and practical insights to tackle real-world business issues. The program comprises of 4 semesters spanning over 2 academic years, with specializations in Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management, Operations, and Systems. The present in-take of the program is 180 seats.

Program Objective:
The overarching objective of the program is to develop effective managers and leaders who shall contribute to business and society. The hands-on learning experience and practical classroom instructions provide the students with the necessary knowledge, skills and attitude to solve real problems. The program aims to hone skills like critical thinking, team building, and effective communication in students. In addition, the program also focuses on developing an entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to think and act creatively and proactively.

2) PGDM MARKETING - NBA Accrediated

Marketing management is a critical factor which directly influences the organic growth and sustenance of any organization. It is with this premise that that PGDM Marketing program has been designed. This program teaches students how to devise and deploy effective marketing strategies to counter any challenges in business. The program comprises of 4 semesters spanning over 2 academic years. The present in-take of the program is 60 seats.

Program Objective:
The primary objective of the PGDM Marketing program is to develop effective managers and leaders who are able to use their functional knowledge to address business challenges in a socially and ethically responsible manner. The program aims to hone knowledge of the marketing function while also gaining an overall understanding of other related disciplines. In addition, the program also focuses on developing an entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to think and act creatively and proactively.

3) PGDM RETAIL

Retail has evolved tremendously from the traditional era of the barter system to the current brick and click era. Digitalization has played a huge role in this evolution. Digital transformation in the retail industry starts with the understanding of the simple fact that technology is now an inseparably integral part of retail. Retailers have turned to Artificial Intelligence, Big data, the Internet of things, Virtual and Augmented reality to seek opportunities for business improvement.

At Chetana’s we aim at imparting education with a perfect blend of field projects, case studies, assignments, presentations, guest lectures, role plays, field visits, interactive classroom lectures and discussions.

The students of retail program have the opportunity of participating in Industrial Visits, Live Projects, Off- Summer Projects and weekend Field Projects.
