About

The Tata Indian Institute of Skills (Tata IIS) has been envisioned as a catalyst for empowering the nation's workforce. Incorporated under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013, Tata IIS is an initiative of the Tata Group, in partnership with the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE). Its mission is to establish, operate, and maintain two prestigious Indian Institutes of Skills (IIS) in Mumbai and Ahmedabad. Tata IIS is not only focused on shaping the future of skill development in India but is also committed to making a global impact.

Indian Institute of Skills, Mumbai is an organization dedicated to the advancement of skill development and excellence. Established through a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India, and the Tata Group, its mission is to empower the youth of India by equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary for success in the modern world.

The Indian Institute of Skills Mumbai, a not-for-profit collaboration between the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of India, and the Tata Group, aims to empower India’s youth. Their 4+ acre campus in Chunabatti provides state-of-the-art infrastructure focused on job-oriented learning. With advanced labs and classrooms, the institute aims to equip the youth with essential skills for professional success.

Electric Vehicles

Campus

The campus is being designed on a 4.17-acre land parcel at Chunabhatti inside the National Skill Training Institute campus in the state of Maharashtra. The first phase of development includes approximately 22,500 square feet building facility housing, advanced manufacturing, and electric vehicle laboratories. The facility will also have classrooms, advanced computer laboratories for training in allied areas and is designed to provide the trainees with a real-world environment of working in a manufacturing industry. It is designed with the capacity to train approximately 190 students at a time. Future campus is envisaged to be an excess of 2.5 lakh square feet of infrastructure development enabled with, training, hostel, as well as student activity facilities.

Candidates are expected to prepare well, provide required documentation to recruiters, and follow the process as defined by each potential recruiter.
