What is WBJEE Exam?
West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) was established in 1962 by the Government of West Bengal to conduct various Joint Entrance Examinations (JEE) for admission to institutions spread across the state.
Every year, WBJEEB conducts the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) for admission to many private and government undergraduate engineering and pharmacy institutions in West Bengal. Candidates who come out with the qualifying marks in the exam can seek admission in universities, government colleges and self-financed institutes of West Bengal.
Candidates have to appear for both papers – Paper-I (Mathematics) and Paper-II (Physics & Chemistry-combined) for engineering and technology. One who appears only for Paper-II will get admission only in the pharmacy courses. Aspirants have to note that the architecture admissions will be provided through NATA and medical admissions will be made through NEET UG, which is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
WBJEE 2020
The WBJEEB will conduct the WBJEE for entrance to the undergraduate courses in the fields like engineering and pharmacy on February 2, 2020. The online applications will be accepted until November 13, 2019. The registered candidates can download their WBJEE admit card from January 27, 2020, onwards.

WBJEE Eligibility
Candidates have to meet all the eligibility requirements set by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board in order to apply for the WBJEE 2019. A candidate must be a citizen of India and should not be less than 17 years of age. There is no upper age limit for WBJEE. However, the upper age limit is 25 years for Marine Engineering course.
WBJEE Registration
Application for WBJEE 2020 has to be done through online mode and there is no offline mode to register. The online registration for the WBJEE will be held till November 13, 2019. Candidates need to have a working contact number and a valid email Id to register. All the future communications by the board will be sent to the respective contact number and email Id. WBJEE Application Fee
The WBJEE application fee can be paid either in cashless mode by Net Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card or in cash using Allahabad Bank e-challan, which will be automatically generated for downloading once the same option is selected. The applicant has to take a print of the e-challan and deposit the fees in cash in any branch of Allahabad Bank with Core Banking Services (CBS).
Allocation of examination centre will be based on the choices given by the candidate during online form fill-up. However, the discretion of the Board in the allocation of examination centre shall be final. No request for change of allocated centre will be entertained under any circumstances.
WBJEE Admission Though JEE Main
A total of 10% of seats are reserved for students' merit list in JEE Main in all the Self-Financed Engineering & Technology Colleges of West Bengal. Candidates should note that the allotment will be purely based on merit and preference of students through counselling conducted by WBJEEB.
WBJEE Exam Pattern
Aspirants should know the paper pattern of the exam to crack. The exam pattern will provide all the key details, such as duration, number of questions, sections, etc. WBJEE is an offline exam that comprises multiple choice questions. There will be two papers in WBJEE - Paper 1 (Mathematics) and Paper 2 (Physics and Chemistry combine). Candidates who appear only for Paper I will not get any rank.

WBJEE Admit Card 2020
The WBJEEB will release the WBJEE admit card on January 27, 2020. The registered candidates can visit the official website of WBJEE to download the admit card, which is a necessary document to take the examination. WBJEE Answer Key 2020
The organising board, WBJEEB, will release the WBJEE answer key within a month after conducting the exam. The WBJEE answer key will be available only on the official website. The board will also accept the challenges against the final answer key. Candidates need to pay INR 500 per question plus the bank's service charges.
WBJEE Result 2020
The WBJEEB announced the WBJEE result in April 2020. The results will be available in the form of a rank card. One should enter their login ID and password to check the WBJEE 2020 result. Candidates will find all the details about the score and paper in their rank card.
Steps To Check WBJEE Result 2020
WBJEE Cut-off 2020
Candidates have to secure minimum marks to become eligible for taking part in the WBJEE counselling and seat allocation process. The organising body will release the cut-off score for both the papers. The cut-off score will differ from each field such as engineering and pharmacy. Candidates who have appeared only for Paper-II and scored above cut-off score will get Pharmacy Merit Rank (PMR). One who appeared for both the papers and scored above cut-off score will get General Merit Rank (GMR) and PMR. However, the institute cut-off score will be different based on the category and course.
WBJEE Counselling 2020
In order to take admission in an institute and course of their choice, candidates need to attend the WBJEE 2020 counselling process. The verification of the documents and other procedures will be done during the WBJEE counselling 2019. No admission will be provided without undergoing the WBJEE counselling.
A separate notification will be released soon with details of counselling/seat allotment and admission in the official website after the announcement of results. The course-wise and institute-wise availability of seats to be provided by the Competent Authorities will also be published before counselling and allotment.
