What is CMAT Exam?

The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a national level computer-based entrance examination, which is conducted for admission to management programmes in colleges approved by AICTE across the country.

As per the directions of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Govt. of India, CMAT was conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) till 2018. From 2019 onwards, the exam is going to be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

It is a is a three-hour computer-based online test which is conducted in a single session to evaluate the candidate's ability across various segments like Quantitative Technique, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension and General Awareness.

AICTE in its mission to reduce the burden of students in attending to multiple examinations has launched the first national level Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) in the year 2012 for facilitating institutions to select suitable students for admission in all management programs approved by AICTE.

CMAT 2020

The CMAT 2020 score will be accepted by all AICTE Approved Institutions/University Departments/Constituent Colleges/Affiliated Colleges. Almost in 13 states, including Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Kerala, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, Karnataka among others accept CMAT exam scores along with CAT for admission to 400+ B schools in their MBA programmes.

The government has officially notified CMAT as their official test. In addition, many B-schools offering AICTE approved PGDM programs will be using the CMAT 2020 scores.

The CMAT 2019 registration is likely to start from November 01, 2019, to December 7, 2019, as announced by the NTA. The exam is going to be held on January 28, 2019 (Tentative).

NTA will conduct the CMAT 2020 exam instead of AICTE. CMAT 2020 registration and application process remains online and can be completed in a few minutes.

About National Testing Agency (NTA)

NTA has been established as a premier, specialist, autonomous and self-sustained testing organisation to conduct entrance examinations for admission/fellowship in higher educational institutions.

NTA is the newly formed body by the centre to conduct JEE Main, GPAT, NEET UG, UGC NET, and CMAT entrance exams through online mode from 2019 onwards.

CMAT Result 2020

The organising body of the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT), National Testing Agency (NTA) is responsible for releasing the result. The Agency will be released the CMAT 2020 result on February 2020. The results were released in the form of merit rank which displays the roll number, rank and the score of all the test takers.
NTA released the result of each candidate who appeared for the examination on January 28, 2020. Candidates will find section-wise and overall scores in the result. Candidates can submit their login credentials to check their CMAT result. The scores have been calculated by assigning +4 marks for the correct answer and -1 mark for an incorrect answer. However, 0 mark was assigned for no answer.
Aspirants have to know how CMAT ranks will be assigned. If more than one candidate secures similar scores, the sectional scores will be considered for ranking. If the candidates secure the same rank, then the same rank will be allotted to them based on the alphabetical order. NTA has also released the merit list based on the scores.
The most important candidates have to know is the admission authorities or institutes are free to take their decision during admission. They can give weightage to a particular section based on their requirement.

Step 2: Click on the exam result link on the homepage.
Step 3: Enter the login credentials.
Step 4: Submit the details to access the result.
Step 5: Download and take a printout of the result for future reference.
